Angelica
Rivera Angelica
Rivera was born on Mexico City on August 2, 1969. Angelica has participated in
a few telenovelas such as Angela, Huracan, La Dueña, among others. One
day she found out that actress Veronica Castro was filming a video in the street
and she decided to snoop around. To her surprise, Castro approached her and suggested
that she compete in The Face of the Herald, a contest Rivera won in 1987. Rivera's
career began at the age of 14, when she won The Face of the Herald contest. She
was a model in the video "Now You Can Leave" with Luis Miguel. She then
filmed two TV/radio commercials, one for the United States and other for Japan,
followed by the TNT video program hosted by Martha Aguayo. In
1989, her career completely changed when she received the opportunity to play
a small part in the soap opera Dulce Desafio, with Adela Noriega and Eduardo Yáñez.
This part was followed by many others on shows such as Simply Maria, My Small
Solitude and The Dreamy Scamp. Little by little she was demonstrating her acting
ability. In
1991 Rivera was selected to play a blonde villain in Alcanzar una estrella II,
where she also sang next to big talents such as Ricky Martin, Pedro Fernandez,
Sasha and Erick Rubín. In
2003 she played a villain in the soap opera Mariana de la Noche, produced by Salvador
Mejía. In this melodrama she played the character of Marcia. In
2007 she has the lead role in the novela Destilando amor next to Eduardo Yañez.
In this novela she plays the role of Gaviota, a young girl from the country who
comes to the big city to look for a better life. |
